Now Liberated, Afghan Women Have Better Lives

Friday July 25, 2003
According to a new report from the U.S. State Department, more Afghan women are attending school this year than at any point in Afghanistan’s history. Estimates are that last year as many as one-third of the 3 million students who returned to school were girls.
