CAN-SPAM Law Hits Sexually Oriented Email

Starting May 19, 2004, senders of sexually oriented spam will be required to include the warning "sexually explicit" in subject line of any email that contains sexually oriented material and in the electronic equivalent of a "brown paper wrapper" in the body of the message. The new rule, to be enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), is a requirement of the Can-Spam Act passed by Congress in 2003. Read more...
