Los Alamos Defense Lab Suspends All Operations

Missing top secret data, along with a series of worker injuries, have resulted in the temporary suspension of virtually all activities at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. On July 7, Los Alamo halted its work on nuclear weapons research after two data storage disks full of classified information were reported missing. According to this New York Times report, laboratory directors decided to halt all operations after injuries and accidents spurred serious concerns of safety violations.
