National Parks Haze Reduction Rule Draws Criticism

You could see clearly now, if the haze from air pollution were gone from America's National Parks. The EPA thinks it's on the right track to improving the view of vistas in National Parks and wilderness areas with the enactment of its new Clean Air Visibility Rule, signed on June 15. On the other hand, the Sierra Club says the new regulation falls far short of clearing the air and may, in fact, "leave some of our most treasured places at risk." Read more...
