Utah Okays Gay-positive License Plate

On an appeal filed by the ACLU, a Utah woman has won the right to display a personalized license plate bearing the gay-positive message, "GAY WE GO."

Utah's tax commission approved the plate after turning down plates displaying two similar gay-positive messages.

"Too often, public officials are scared by the word ‘gay’ and they refuse to recognize that gays and lesbians are an increasingly public and positive part of our communities," Margaret Plane, ACLU of Utah staff attorney.
