Census Releases School District, Small Area Income and Poverty Data

Wednesday November 30, 2005
The U.S. Census Bureau has just published estimates of population and poverty for most U.S. school districts, as well as income and poverty estimates for states and counties. Included are estimates of the number of poor children ages 5 to 17 in the nation’s 15,000 school districts. You can choose state and county data for years 1989-2003 and school district data for 1995-2003. The tables can be viewed at: http://www.census.gov/hhes/www/saipe/index.html
