Daylight Saving Time: Spring Ahead Sunday Morning

Friday March 31, 2006
Daylight saving time officially begins Sunday morning at 2:00 am in most parts of the United States. Remember to set your clocks and watches ahead by one hour before going to bed on Saturday night. It’s also a great time to check the batteries in smoke alarms.

Even More Daylight Saved Next Year
As an amendment to the national energy policy bill passed by Congress in Aug. 2005, daylight saving time will be extended by four weeks beginning in March 2007. Starting in March 2007, daylight saving time will begin on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November.
