Political Campaign Contribution Limits for 2007-2008

Primary elections and caucuses for the 2008 presidential election could begin as early as next January, and people are already beginning to contribute to the campaigns of their favorite candidates and parties. The Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act (BCRA), enacted in 2002, increased the contribution limits for individuals giving to federal candidates, political parties and committees, and political action committees (PACs) for the 2007-2008 federal election cycle.
