Congress Passes "No-deadlines" Iraq War Funding Bill
Having already passed in the House on a 280-142 vote, the bill now goes to President Bush, who is expected to sign it immediately.
The $100 billion allocated by this bill will bring the total U.S. expenditure for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to more than $565 billion since 2001.
As of May 16, 2007, a total of 3,401 U.S. soldiers had been killed in Iraq, and another 25,378 seriously wounded.

Comments
Without deadlines for the Iraqi government to meet, this bill is not worth the paper upon which it is written.
The present collapse of US economy is attributable to expenditure incurred on Iraq, Afghanistan wars and huge expenditure on alleged war against terrorism. The US administration may not agree to it for different reasons, but it is time to realise this fact.
