Recognizing the necessity of education in the recovery of our nation's economy, Congress included some very good news for college students and their parents in the 2009 economic stimulus package. Signed on Tuesday by President Obama, the American Recovery and Reinvestment act provides significant increases to both the federal Pell college grants and the Hope Scholarship higher education tax credit.
