Liberals React to Alito’s Nomination

President Bush’s fellow conservatives roundly criticized his choice of Harriet Miers to replace retiring Justice Sandra Day O’Connor on the Supreme Court. “Not conservative enough,” they said. So, Miers withdrew and now President Bush has sent decidedly more conservative Judge Samuel A. Alito Jr., -- A.K.A. "Scalito" by some lawyers -- up to bat. The liberal attack should be rabid, right?
