High Court to Rule on Greenhouse Gas Regulation
During the early days of the global warming debate, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) decided that it did not have the authority under the Clean Air Act to regulate emissions of greenhouse gases and, even if it did, it probably wouldn't.
A dozen states, three cities and a raft of environmental advocacy groups joined together to appeal the EPA's decision to the Supreme Court.
