Supreme Court Strikes Down Anti-Sodomy Law
In what gay rights groups are calling a major victory, the U.S. Supreme Court has voted 6-3 to strike down a Texas law banning sex between consenting adults of the same sex. "The petitioners are entitled to respect for their private lives," Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in the court's majority decision.
