"Are We to Be a Nation? The
Making of the Constitution"
Praised for its political, social, and intellectual background and
extensive illustrative material, this book traces the Constitution from
before the Constitutional Convention through ratification by the states.
Few books on the Constitution do such a good job of highlighting the
ratification debate. While the book is most often found in college and
larger public libraries, it is an excellent addition to anyone's
reference desk. | |
