Detailing Allied Attacks (CNN) Also Today: The Pentagon refused to reveal how many senior al Qaeda and Taliban leaders had been taken into U.S. custody and that they would no longer speculate on the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden or Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar. [Details on CNN] 4:30 pm - U.S. airstrikes concentrated on long-suspected al Qaeda stronghold near the Pakistani border town of Miram Shah in the Paktia province according to a Pentagon spokesman. The airstrikes are designed to prevent Taliban and al Qaeda fighters from escaping into Pakistan. "There are obviously still al Qaeda and pro-Taliban that are loose there, and we're continuing to find them, and we're continuing to strike their equipment as we've found them," stated Rear Adm. Afghan tribal leaders have identified a 14-year-old boy as being the killer of U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Nathan Ross Chapman in an ambush near Khowst on Friday. The boy remains at large.
