Detailing Allied Attacks (CNN) Also Today: A former worker at the San Onofre nuclear plant in Southern California, was arrested after threatening plant workers and supervisors. In a search of the 43-year-old man's home, police found an arsenal of over 200 weapons, including assault rifles, tear gas grenades and thousands of rounds of ammunition. [Details from Reuters] 1:00 pm - The White House confirmed that a U.S. Marine KC-130 mid-air refueling plane had crashed in Pakistan. "I can confirm that there has been a plane crash in Pakistan involving a KC-130,'' stated White House spokesman Ari Fleischer. There were no further details on the crash, which Fleischer said was being investigated by the Pentagon. The KC-130 usually carries a crew of 6 to 8 personnel. 8:30 am - The recent lull in hostilities between Israel and Palestine was broken as Palestinian militants killed four Israeli soldiers. Hamas, a militant Islamic group claimed responsibility for the attack in southern Israel. Two of the militants were also killed, according to authorities. [See: Armed Men Ordered to Leave Ravaged Kabul (Reuters)] 7:00 am - CNN reported that U.S. investigators were finding an al Qaeda leader "most cooperative" during interrogation. Ibn Al-Shaykh al-Libi, a Libyan, was being held aboard the USS Bataan, along with eight other al Qaeda detainees and John Walker, the American captured fighting for the Taliban.
