Dept. Seeks 5 Suspected al Qaeda Members [Photos] 6:00 pm - A U.S. Air Force MC-130H troop transport aircraft was hit by small arms fire from the ground while flying a training mission over the Filipino island of Luzon. According to the Defense Department, there were no injuries on board the plane, but one round was reported to have narrowly missed a crewmember. [See: Filipino Small-Arms Fire Hits U.S. Troop Transport (Reuters)] 10:00 am - The Pakistani militant group holding Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl stated they would give the U.S. an additional 24 hours to release Pakistani prisoners from Camp X-Ray before carrying out their threat to kill Pearl. The militant Islamic group has accused Pearl of being a spy for Israel. The radical Islamic group threatened via email yesterday that it would kill Pearl within 24 hours unless Pakistani detainees held at Camp X-Ray were released by the United States.
