11:00 am - Federal Magistrate Judge W. Curtis Sewell has denied bail or release pending trial for accused American Taliban fighter John Walker Lindh. In his ruling, Judge Sewell stated that the defense had failed to prove its argument that Walker Lindh did not pose a flight risk or danger to the public. 10:30 am - CIA Director George Tenet warned the U.S. Congress that the al Qaeda terrorist network and other militant groups had plans for future attacks against America. "Al Qaeda also has plans to strike against U.S. and allied targets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia," Tenet told the Senate Intelligence Committee. 5:30 am - Pakistani police reported they felt they were closing in on the kidnappers of Wall Street reporter Daniel Pearl. Three men tied to the kidnapping were arrested Tuesday night near the Karachi airport. [See: Police say they're closing in on Pearl kidnappers (CNN)]
