'Friendly fire' incident kills 4 Canadian soldiers (CNN) -- Four Canadian soldiers were killed and at least eight wounded near Kandahar, Afghanistan, when a U.S. F-16 mistakenly dropped a laser-guided bomb on them during a training exercise. The incident occurred during a live-fire exercise.
