NOT confirmed: U.S. Units Attacking Al Qaeda In Pakistan (Wash. Post) -- The Washington Post reported that U.S. special forces troops had been covertly carrying out attacks against al Qaeda forces in Pakistan.

FBI Warns of Terror Threat to Shopping Centers, Supermarkets (Reuters) -- The FBI issued a warning to its agents of unconfirmed terrorist threats against public gathering areas like shopping centers and supermarkets. The information came from captured senior al Qaeda official Abu Zubaydah. Last week the FBI, again based on information from Zubaydah, warned of possible attacks against banks in the northeast United States.
