Police: U.S. Pipe Bomb Suspect in Custody in Nevada (Reuters) -- Nevada police reported taking into custody 21-year old Luke John Helder, wanted for questioning in the planting of 18 pipe bombs in mailboxes from Illinois to Texas.

FBI Wants to Talk to 22-Year-Old About Pipe Bombs (Reuters) -- After finding another pipe bomb in Texas, the FBI issued an all-points bulletin to local police departments to be on the lookout for 21-year old Luke John Helder. The FBI emphasized that Helder has not been charged in connection with the pipe bombs, but should be considered armed and dangerous. Helder was described as a Caucasian male, possibly driving a dark gray or black 1992 four-door Honda accord with Minnesota license plate number EZL 783.

Canadians Take DNA Samples in Afghan Tunnels (Reuters) -- Canadian forces collected DNA samples during a three-day sweep through abandoned al Qaeda and Taliban caves in eastern Afghanistan. The samples may have been collected in an attempt to find remains of Osama bin Laden. Canadian officials, however, refused to comment on that possibility.
