Federal charges brought against accused mailbox bomber (CNN) -- In Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Federal Judge Judge John A. Jarvey charged accused pipe bomber Lucas Helder with two counts of malicious destruction of property by means of an explosive and using a destructive device in a crime of violence. A public defender was assigned to represent Helder.
