U.S. War on Terrorism Bush Calls on Europe to Fight Terrorist 'Blackmail' (Reuters) - In a speech to the German parliament, U.S. President Bush called on European allies to join the war on terrorism. "There can be no lasting security in a world at the mercy of terrorists in my nation or any other nation. We need each other in the fight against terrorism," said Bush. Report: Al Qaeda, Taliban Smuggled Into Europe (Reuters) - The German newspaper Allgemeine Zeitung reported that al Qaeda and Taliban fighters had been smuggled into Europe and were attempting to make their way to Britain. "A warning letter ... based on information gathered two months ago by Interpol and Europol, says that more than 30 'important people from the Taliban and Al Qaeda' are in Bulgaria, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Austria on the way to Britain, where they want to regroup and plan possible action," the paper reported.
