Mueller: Justice Department to launch FBI probe (CNN) - The Justice Department will investigate a complaint by an FBI agent that the agency thwarted her investigation of suspected terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui prior to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

US: Coalition Forces Raid Compound Outside Kandahar (Reuters) - U.S. Gen. Peter Pace reported that coalition forces in Afghanistan had raided a suspected Taliban compound near Kandahar, taking about 50 prisoners.

U.S. Warns of Possible Attack on Rail, Transit (Reuters) - Law enforcement officials reported the the U.S. Department of Transportation had warned of possible attacks on rail and transit systems nationwide.
