Detailing Allied Attacks (CNN) Also Today: An announcement on the formation of a post-Taliban government for Afghanistan is expected to come from the UN-led talks being held in Germany. 5:45 pm - Newsweek reported that a man claiming to be an American citizen fighting for the Taliban had been taken into custody by U.S. special forces troops. "Military forces in Afghanistan do have in their control a man who calls himself a U.S. citizen." stated a U.S. Central Command spokesman. President Bush bitterly condemned the suicide bombings and demanded that Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat take immediate and decisive action against Palestinian militant groups. The suspected suicide-terrorist bombing came only 12 hours after tow bombings in downtown Jerusalem killed 10 and injured as many as 180.
