2:30 pm - Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, in a televised appearance, called for an end to all attacks on Israelis, especially suicide bombings. However, Arafat, under intense pressure from world leaders to round up terrorists in his country, also demanded that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon must end Israel's "brutal war" against Palestinian Authority.
