Detailing Allied Attacks (CNN) 6:00 pm - Passengers and flight attendants overpowered a man apparently trying to blow up American Airlines Flight 63 from Paris to Miami. Florida. The flight carrying 185 passenger and 12 crew was diverted to Boston's Logan International Airport. A Logan spokesman said the man was an Arab, traveling on a false passport. [See: Bomber Suspect Overpowered on Transatlantic Flight (Reuters)] 1:15 pm - Pakistan President Musharraf stated that there was a strong likelihood that Osama bin Laden had been killed by U.S. bombing in the mountains near Tora Bora. "Maybe he is dead because of all the operations that have been conducted, the bombardment of all the caves that have been conducted," Musharraf suggested in a TV appearance. The Pentagon refused to speculate on either the condition or location of bin Laden. "I promise you that I will fulfill my mission to bring peace to Afghanistan, that we cannot see again the chains of fighting and shooting in our country," stated Karzai.
