Civilian Jobs in the US Military

Looking for a civilian sector job at a military facility? Good luck. Thousands of bases in each branch, each with its own web site, some list jobs -- most don't. Some want a resume, some don't. Some will take an OF-612 or SF-171, some won't.

Toward Unified Services
Help is on the way. The Army, Navy, Air Force, and Department of Defense have launched efforts to combine their online job advertisement and resume collection for all worldwide facilities on single Web sites. While these new sites do not yet list all the civilian openings at all facilities, many offer "job kits" packed with helpful advice and all the forms and instructions you'll need. You can even prepare and submit your resume online.
