So what does John Boehner have to say about his crying?
He's acknowledged being sensitive, particularly around children. In an interview with 60 Minutes, Boehner said he does not make campaign stops at schools anymore because he gets weepy around kids.
"Family - kids - I can't go to a school anymore. I used to go to a lot of schools. And you see all these little kids running around. Can't talk about it," Boehner said.
But Boehner defends his crying jags.
"I wear my emotions on my sleeve," he told a Fox News interviewer who asked about critics who claim Boehner crying make the congressman appear "weak" or "strange."
"I'm not going to apologize for being emotionally attached to the things I feel most strongly about," Boehner said.
