In the Nov. 5, 2002 mid-term congressional elections, voters in 34 states will elect or re-elect U.S. Senators. Of the 34 incumbent Senators up for re-election, 20 are Republicans and 14 are Democrats. Four incumbent Senators -- all Republicans -- are retiring and not running for re-election. They are: Phil Gramm (TX), Jesse Helms (NC), Fred Thompson (TN) and Strom Thurmond (SC).

Listed below are all candidates on the ballots of the 34 states with Senate races in 2002. The states are:
