Presidents' Day 2000

Dateline: 02/21/00

President's Day: A Federal holiday created to commemorate the births of former Presidents George Washington (Feb. 22) and Abraham Lincoln (Feb. 12). Throughout America, Presidents' Day is observed by low prices and no mail. But, let's also take a moment to read some of the more famous words of the men we honor on Presidents' Day.
